Do you have extensive knowledge of Autism? Are you a dedicated trainer? Would you like to work with a friendly, experienced and dedicated training team?
If so, then why not apply to become an Autism Specialist Trainer in our External Training team.
This role is part time working in a hybrid set up covering office days in Whitley but also being able to work from home covering 24 to 30 hours per week which will be discussed with successful candidates at interview.
We provide Autism training to external organisations and employers, individuals, parents and schools across Hampshire and wider. We also provide the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training to Health and Social Care across Hampshire.
The nature of the role means you will be required to attend 2 days in person training to acquire the accreditation needed to be an Oliver McGowan Lead Facilitator. Training will be delivered face to face in sessions for up to 30 delegates across Hampshire whilst supporting your lived experience autistic and learning disabled Co Trainers.
Due to the specialisation of our training department, you will need to have a strong understanding of Autism, including sensory, communication and autistic thinking.
You will need to approach all aspects of the role in a flexible, positive and inclusive manner, have excellent interpersonal skills, be extremely organised, and be proficient in maintaining accurate records. To ensure we offer training at the most convenient time to everyone, evenings and weekends courses will be a requirement of the post holder at times.
We are looking for people who believe in the positive differences of autistic people, that no autistic person is the same and who can support individuals, parents and employers to learn and think differently.
Due to the highly specialist nature of this position, we are seeking applications from people who have extensive knowledge of, and related qualifications in, Autism and teaching/training plus a proven track record in developing learning programmes and delivering training to large groups of people.
Please refer to the role profile for full responsibilities and experience, knowledge and skills needed to be considered for this role.
